Penang Detour

J4N(minus Justin who will be joining the rest of the band in Kampar) will be making a detour to Penang on the 26th and 27th(competition day) for the Golden Frontier 2009 Song Composing Competition before heading to Kampar for the Yue Ta performance. Support J4N!!

J4N will be featured in a CD showcasing Yue Ta's finest moments. Produced by the band's own member N, the modest budget album is done in his own home studio. The album will be priced at rm20 consisting of 12 tracks from various performers. The album will be available on the 15th of June.

Yue Ta

Updates on the upcoming J4N performance.

This time the venue will be in UTAR Kampar on the 28th June 2009. The event showcases the best of UTAR's Song Composing Club (Yue Ta) competition songs(all originals) for the last 3 years.

Tickets are priced at rm8. There will be transportation from PJ campus to Kampar on the 28th June. For those who are interested, please gather at PB block as the bus will depart from the same block. The round trip is priced at rm8.

Updates!!
Justin is currently in the semi-finals(23rd of May) of this year's Astro Star Quest. Only 5 of the 10 semi-finalists will be chosen for the finals scheduled in July. J4N would like to wish him the best of luck and at the same time hoping that he will make it for the Kampar event this coming June. Please support Justin in Astro Star Quest!!!

WHAT IS FRIDAY THE 13TH?

General Information

Friday the 13th is essentially a fundraiser held in the form of a talent show. Besides trying to raise funds for 3 designated organisations (further information can be found below), the event is aimed at showcasing some of the best talents in singing and dancing. We welcome everyone from solo singers to duets, to solo dancers, to dance crews (you get the gist). Whether you are a one man show or a group of talent waiting to show the world what you've got, we want you! So think you have what it takes? Come and join us! Besides doing your part for charity, this will also be the perfect opportunity for you to show the world what you are capable of!

Why Are We Doing This?

As previously mentioned, the aim of this event is to raise funds for 3 different organisations.

These organisations are:
Thai Care Corner - An organization offering help to orphans and refugees based in Thailand.

Dignity and Services - A non-profit, non-governmental organisation offering various assistance, including for the disabled. Further information can be found here.

Sithamani Divine Life Ashram - A charitable home that is lacking in proper infrastructure.

The People Behind Friday the 13th

Friday the 13th is the brainchild of 7 first year students doing their Bachelor of Psychology at HELP University College. What started off as a class assignment to raise funds for 3 organisations soon developed into a major scale event involving not only the 7 originally involved but also many of their peers who so willingly came out to lend their support in many ways.

Tickets are priced at RM10 per person (inclusive dinner)

Participation fee for the talent competition is RM15 per person (inclusive dinner on the day of event)

Closing date for entries is on 3rd March 2009.
